Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Major TWs for fatphobia, body shaming, and disordered eating.

When I first started this book I was not sure if I was going to like it. As stated there is a lot of fatphobia and body shaming from the jump, however, when the point of the book is to have a flawed main character you have to be okay with some flaws. I enjoyed the early 2000s references, I feel like they weren't overly forced and felt very natural and funny. Overall, I think the book is funny mixed with a bit of emotional reflection and maturity. The ending is a bit abrupt and the time travel is not really fleshed out, but if you're looking for a light and fluffy read with a small emotional punch at the end, this is a good one.

like many people have said, the Thanksgiving scenes were my favorite part, but I think overall it is worth the read if you don't take it too seriously
