From the outset of this reread it was clear that I was missing something - an entire spin off! I hadn’t known this as a kid and it took me a while to realise since I hadn’t really paid attention to the first few pages of the book. So a lot of the plot and characters did feel out of place, but it does make me want to read Unleashed now. So not my favourite book of the series, obviously. But, the stakes were still high and I still wanted to see it through to the bittersweet end.
