The Courtesans Bargain by Aurora Dawn, Joanna Mazurkiewicz

3.0

Cover: absolutely gorgeous and honestly, the reason I checked this book out on KU and read it.
Editing/Proofing: Some work here is needed. Honestly, there’s a grammar error right in the title! Normally that’d scare me off but the cover’s beauty distracted me. There are some instances of poor grammar, but not a ton, and some instances of poor or questionable continuity were noted. I’d recommend a new editor or at least a heavy proof.
Characters: development was… decent. I wouldn’t say advanced, but I would not say poor either. More like… rushed.
Overall: Not a bad read. Fast-paced and kept me turning the pages. Didn’t turn out to have a very in-depth plot, but is also clearly the start of a series, so maybe it evolves a bit.
Highly predictable, but everything is.
I’m definitely open to reading more from these authors; this particular book was okay.
