Overall, this was an enjoyable story. I will say, I found Cameron very irksome, and although he was portrayed with empathy, and relatable, even, I was ALWAYS ANNOYED AT HIM. Also, octopuses must be remarkably bright indeed to be more intelligent than all the humans in this book! Especially in the last half, I was constantly frustrated by characters seeing two options and choosing the worst. every. time. I loved the ending, but it felt rushed. I do look forward to hearing the author speak in September, and I'll probably check out more of her work in the future. This was creative and fun, and Michael Urie voices an excellent octopus on audio.
