Three Broken Promises by Monica Murphy

4.0

Jen and Colin's story was so interesting. I love a good brothers best friend so when I found out that Colin was Jen's brothers best friend I couldn't wait to see how their story played out.

Jen works for Colin, he owns restaurants and Jen works for him as well as living at his place. Jen lives with him because after he brother died her family fell apart and she was living in her car until Colin found her and offered her a place to stay and steady work. She was previously working as a stripper and doing a litter extra on the side for more money which she is ashamed of.

Jen and Colin are always there for each other, Jen comforts Colin every night when he has his bad dreams and Colin is always helping Jen. When they finally get together I thought YES, FINALLY, I have been waiting for this but alas it isn't what we wanted. They worked well for a while until they didn't.

Jen wanted to be independent and Colin wanted that for her but Jen wanted him to tell her to stay and fight for her but he didn't he essentially packed her bags and told her to go. It wasn't until Fable literally told him to get his head out of his ass and go and get his girl that he realised how much he loved her

This story has heartbreak and some soul searching but it was wholesome and sweet
