Iris Kelly Doesn't Date
by Ashley Herring Blake
O my god, emotionally, sexually, gorgeous. Iris’ book has been building up, so her character has had a chance to be pretty visible, but I love that we see beyond the gregarious life of the party in this book. Beautiful narration as always. At first Iris is kinda grumpy sounding around her family, and I was wondering if the narrator had to change up the character’s personality, as a creative choice. But when she switches back to the Iris you get to know over two hooks, it was kinda jarring. Like oh she got LAYERS. I was ready.
And Stevie was thankfully not the annoying anxious. She tries to make the best of it, not anxiety her whole personality. And omgod when she developed Top energy and wooed Iris
