Unintentionally have started from the beginning with King’s work, and I unexpectedly really enjoyed it. A telekinetic type of horror isn’t normally my kind of thing, but the execution was great, I think some gore and a psychological aspect being tied in really improved my overall experience.
It has solid and consistent pacing, likely because the writing was very direct without being simple. The incorporation of religious extremism added an interesting element. The trauma and provocation both at the school and at home was bound to have consequences, but unfortunately, no one really realises until it’s too late.
I will definitely be reading more of Stephen Kings work.
