There Are No Saints by Sophie Lark
4.0

it feels so wrong to rate this 4 stars because i ate this book up. a phenomenal book. i’d say maybe a 4.7. however, it does not compare to my 5 star books. those books changed my brain chemistry. that being said, i’m certain i’ll think about this book regularly.

the diversity of sophie lark is kind of scary. the fact that minx, my first sophie lark book, was created by the same author as this book, literally mind boggling.

this book is absolutely not for the faint hearted. the trigger warnings do not even prepare you. it is fucked up and i’ve read a lot of fucked up things. this book, fucked up. believe me, if you do not have a strong stomach or mind to push yourself through this book, it is okay to leave it be unread.

i won’t lie, i’m still not sure how i feel about cole. but i do LOVE mara. she is insanely smart, but also kind of fucking stupid and suicidal with how much she trusts cole. her ability to piece together things is something to be envious of. i have a feeling cole might grow on me.

i loved this book. i wish i hadn’t because i’m worried it means i’m mentally deranged but it was amazing. very excited about the next book
