This is a story of women, but also of others whose characters are brilliantly written, developed and made completely believable. It is a story of two wars, one of brutal Vietnam and one of the women’s return home, brutal in different ways.
It shows the expected graphic grimness of war, with many details that I had never considered or known about. But you also feel the emotions/romance within the war between the serving and their family/loved ones back home. We find out what happened when they returned home did these relationships continue, become stronger or crumble
This book is an absolute must read And I would highly recommend it. Enjoy.
