Revival, Vol. 2: Live Like You Mean It by Mike Norton, Tim Seeley

5.0

I am thoroughly enjoying reading these graphic novels set in central Wisconsin - sometimes in places that I'm well familiar with. This one captured the nuance of life in central Wisconsin incredibly well. There were overt racist, white supremacists; there were low-key racists who fear and make comments about anything "other"; blatant heteronormativity; meth dealers; and there is the other side of central Wisconsin life - a Wisco mom who mothers the hell out of her sons stunting their growth, an eccentric living in the middle of nowhere, and queer men at the one local gay bar.

The story is a little confusing at this point with a lot of simultaneous storylines going at the same time, but I'm eager to see how it all fleshes out.
