Claimed by the Orc Prince by Lionel Hart

This was somehow both very low stakes and very high stakes in a way that I can’t really explain? I enjoyed it, especially the maturity and the communication between the princes, don’t get me wrong! I’m just reeling at how it could be both lol.
It was an arranged political marriage, both parties expected next to nothing but fell in love, which is always very lovely. Their personalities complement each other so nicely too. The internal conflicts and the way they resolve them are the low stakes part, I guess, because their love is a sure thing that just needs tending and they want to do the tending… and the high stakes part is the bigger picture issues (i.e. war) that I imagine will unfold in the other two books more wholly.
(On a related note: Man, the elf prince’s ex is the worst kind of insane for the shit he starts/pulls and I really hope he gets what is coming to him.)
Anyway, very cute. Rooting for the couple. I hope that the orc prince gets some nice moments with the fae king now that he has a home, he deserves to be loved and I think the fae king has love to spare for his son in law.
