I'm a big fan of the XKCD webcomic and appreciate Munroe's slightly-warped (but really smart) sense of humor. This book is a collection of science-based responses to reader questions. For the most part, this was fun and I learned a few things. I like the writer's style, and it was a pleasant change from what I've been reading lately.

The only real negative had nothing to do with Munroe and more to do with the version of the book borrowed. It was an audiobook, and was narrated by Wil Wheaton. I've got no issue with Wheaton (heck, I didn't even hate Wesley Crusher when he was on STTNG!), but he did get annoying from time to time. Particularly annoying were his mocking imitations of women (just sometimes- at other times he was completely appropriate). He really should have skipped the high-pitched whiny reading and just continued in his own voice. Editing on the audiobook was also a bit off- I noticed a few instances of Wheaton making errors and correcting himself before moving on. Typically that's edited out.

All-in-all, this was a great choice to play while I was doing other things around the house. Recommended.
