So far I am enjoying this expansion to the Uglies universe! I loved these books when I was younger, and I'm excited to once more return to this world.

I do think that Impostors exceeds the previous books, in that these are far more nuanced in their portrayal of politics and power dynamics. It's not necessarily Game of Thrones - it is still a book series for children, at the end of the day - but Westerfeld has really created an amazing series villain when it comes to Frey and Rafi's father. His shadow looms over everything they do, and his presence is so menacing that I know I'm in for a wild ride with this series

Also, Andrew Simpson Smith?????? What are you doing here, bud? Didn't you get shot off into space with the rest of your monkey-modded friends?? What are you doing running around on earth still?
