This was my first Agatha Christie, and it did not disappoint.
At first, I thought that the setup of the story was a bit too long and dragged out, but now that I've read the whole thing, I see why we needed it to be that long. There were so many minor details mentioned in the beginning that got a big role in the plot and I loved seeing the small invisible strings. I would have never guessed the plot twist at the end! I had ideas throughout the story, but the reveal caught me off-guard.
The characters in this story had actual depth and realistic backstories, which made me a lot more invested in the story. My favourite characters were probably Audrey and Superintendent Battle.
Lastly, I wanted to mention just how fascinating I found Agatha Christie's writing. The way she made the characters come to life made me feel like I was actually there with them, trying to solve the mystery. The little breadcrumbs throughout the book kept me hooked.
This was a great mystery and I can definitely see myself recommending it to others in the future!
