Damn, I'm on a roll with the romance picks. This was funny, sexy, emotional, everything! I went berserk highlighting my copy and I actually laughed out loud. I even enjoyed the ~spice~ and wanted more (gasp!). However, I would advise to check the trigger warnings because this delves into a lot of trauma.
Shane and Eva felt like whole human beings, both in their past and present depictions. Their lost, broken teenage selves were so strikingly different from their mostly-well-functioning adult selves and yet I instantly believed in the development. Incredible chemistry between them. I really like how the third act was handled - I was scared the conflict would be unnecessary and end up ruining the book, but it led to a great ending, hopeful and realistic. I haven't read a lot of romance, but I can safely say this is my favorite!
