Technically Yours by Denise Williams

5.0

This is everything I want from a romance novel: emotionally intelligent characters who have been mindfully written with 360 POVs and compelling interior lives and pasts that show why they are the best fit for each other. Technically Yours is sweet, tender, smart, sexy, and enthralling.

I adore all of Denise Williams' books and novellas, but this is the one that reminds me the most of her excellent debut, How to Fail at Flirting: Pearl and Cord are the categorical successors to the Naya and Jake throne. Reading that she began writing them in 2019 makes so much sense to me, because the same emotional intelligence that infuses Jake also lives inside Cord. The same professional competence, desire for ethical integrity, and disarming vulnerability that made Naya such a wonderful heroine is also part of Pearl's DNA.

I just loved it.
