Not only does this live up to the hype it also crushed the criticisms.
This book is incredible. You will read reviews that say our protagonist isn’t “like other girls” or isn’t for the girls or that her rage and anger makes her unlikable. Ignore them. They lack reading comprehension and an appreciation for feral women who loves and supports other women so much she regularly risks her life for them. I don’t know what book they were reading but it sure as hell wasn’t this one.
Absolutely incredible. A book of our times. This is an angry piece of fiction. It’s stitched down to the bone. It’s raw and cruel and bleak and beautiful and you won’t want to put it down. I’m not spoiling anything outside of ignore the bad reviews and go in blind. I won’t be forgetting about this one anytime soon.
