I've always been skeptical as to the relevance of this ancient text in modern life, especially as to its application in business settings, but the insights offered throughout, and especially in the latter half of the text are incredibly applicable to any leader, and potentially to one's everyday life. It also provided me with a lens through which I could view our own contemporary leaders, leaders in fiction and history, and leaders in my own life. I imagine that going forward, I will continue to apply the seemingly intuitive, but no less pertinent lessons taught in this text in my own life.
