“Dreams shine like pearls in her eyes. I become an artist, a collector, stringing salt-water gems on necklaces that she may wear.”

Safe to say, I loved King and Cress’s story. Not as much as the rest of the Fallen Men’s books but I loved it nevertheless. As usual, the way the Fallen had Cress’s back was phenomenal, truly.

Cressida. Beautiful, witty and intelligent. Confined to patriarchal social expectations, a badass wrapped up with misogynistic idealisms pushed onto her. I loved Cressida, she was strong and witty and caring, kind. The way she cares for her students is beautiful and the way she loves King is even more beautiful. Did I mention that she’s intelligent ? I love myself a beautiful and intelligent woman.

King. Smart, sarcastic and sexy. I didn’t expect to love King but I ending up loving him anyway. He kind of put me off initially, with his alpha-Ahole-ness, but I learned to love it as the storyline went on. Now don’t get me wrong, he was most definitely not a misogynist but definitely the kind of man who believed that he should be the one to care and spoil his woman. Think, more caveman and less misogynist.

Overall, I loved Lessons In Corruption.
