Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

challenging emotional mysterious sad medium-paced

5.0

Beautiful.

This book is what took me out of a two week reading slump. The writing is so drastically enticing as is the characterization. Delia Owens is a phenomenal author, and I could not put this book down for the life of me.

The way you become so indulged and attached to the story of, not only Kya, but all of the supporting characters too is unreal. The ending was, to the least, unexpected, and until the very end I was overflowing with emotion. There is not a single bad thing I can say about this book. The messages that are woven through the novel are sure to stick with me forever.
