Silent Vows by Jill Ramsower

3.0

This was a very slow~burn, arranged marriage mafia trope that culminated in an extremely anticlimactic wedding night scenario. The plot definitely kept me interested, and I truly liked both of the main characters, and their personalities.
I felt like they had decent chemistry, but the author waited until a good, 80% plus of the book was finished before she ever let them explore it so it felt extremely rushed at the end when they finally gave into their feelings for each other in one scene. I understand that that could be due to the fact this is a series, but if you want to keep readers interested in coming back from more, you have to give them a portion of “more” faster.
I liked the female main character enough to see this through, but it lagged quite a bit, even past the halfway mark of the story.
