The Courtship of Princess Leia by Dave Wolverton

3.0

I am upset because I have really struggled in what to rate this book 3 or 4 stars. I really enjoyed the book. I saw other people's reviews and they complained that it was a hard read and I did not think so at all. I was turning pages fast. I looked forward to reading it. The storyline was good and writing was fantastic. There is really only one downfall to the book and that is the characters did not seem themselves. Luke seemed to be a then a Jedi. I mean during war when people are getting slaughtered he says dont kill if you dont have to. While I agree with that philosophy not really a good pep talk during war. Leia seemed like she was on the bachelorette. Making out with both guys. Acting like she liked playing games with both (eyes rolling). Han seemed like a wussy (for a lack of a better turn). He basically drools over Leia except at a couple points of the story, which I think the lines were taken directly out of the movies. Now a chunk of that that review was bad, but really I did enjoy the book.

Do I suggest it? Well...I dont know. There are definitely better star wars EU books out there. This is the one where Han and Leia get married. I think it is referenced about in other stories. So if you want to know what happens then read it. I don't think that you will regret it.
