Dying to Be Me: My Journey from Cancer, to Near Death, to True Healing by Anita Moorjani

3.0

I enjoyed this memoir, which focuses on the author's near death experience (NDE) and her subsequent recovery from stage 4 cancer. Her personal story and messages for living presently are definitely inspiring and worth sharing. I found part I of the book about her upbringing very rushed, as if she could not wait to share parts II (NDE) and III (post NDE). From the account of her upbringing, I could not understand her level of emotional pain that would cause her cancer. However, I think she does a better job of explaining her pain later in the book. I would have rated the book 4 stars if it was written better.
