I read this for book club and honestly I might not have finished it if not for book club. I'm a huge fan of gothic horror but this book fell flat for me. I felt like Noemi didn't have any solid character development, rather, she seemed to go backwards instead of forward in development. There was so much "telling" when I feel like horror is about "showing". This was an interesting read, but not a favorite.
