Still Life by Louise Penny

3.0

A beloved older woman is found dead in her small town. Chief Inspector Armand Gamache arrives with his team to determine if it was an accident by a hunter who fled the scene, or something more sinister.⁣

I've been considering starting a detective-type series on audio - I find audio trickier to choose but typically those stories translate well for me. This one was particularly nice because of the French Canadian accents, but it wasn't the *most* engaging mystery. At times it felt a bit all over the place.⁣

There's many books following Chief Inspector Armand Gamache though, all pretty highly rated, so I'll probably give the others a chance! I'm just not in a big hurry to.
