This One Wild and Precious Life: A Hopeful Path Forward in a Fractured World by Sarah Wilson

3.0

This one sits somewhere between "It's crap" and "I quite like it". I spent over 12 hours listening to the author's own reading, which is nearly 3 weeks of driving for me, and at the end I feel like I can do it again. At first it started like another angry woman ranting about life, but at some point the tone became more friendly, even pleasant, not confronting, lots of positive words, lots of positive thoughts to meditate in.
I didn't know who Sarah Wilson is prior to reading this book, and I won't set out to find more about her, but from what she shares in this book, she sure gained my respect for her way of life.
I will make a list of all the exercises she suggests in the book. I think I already do some of them naturally. But we all need to do more.
But here the's thing that make the book crap. Essentially it's a book about saving the planet and saving humanity, against consumerism and capitalism. But it's not a scientific book and it's not very informational. The book has no structure, it's mostly jumping about from one topic to another.
