Fragments of the Lost by Megan Miranda

4.0

This is a solid 4 star book. I anticipated an adult thriller more in the vein of All the Missing Girls, not realizing this was YA lit. It was still incredibly compelling. I read it in 2 sittings, determined to find the truth along with Jessa. I really enjoyed this book! The careful unraveling of clues along with Jessa's slow realization that things were not as they seemed made for a twisty plot that was always interesting.

I gave it 4 stars because it's not something I'm going to read again. Jessa's grief was heavy and hard to slog through and brought down my mood for hours after reading (a testament to Megan Miranda's talent) and once the mystery has been uncovered, I don't think it would be as interesting to go through again. However, I enjoyed the journey!
