The Dreaming Void by Peter F. Hamilton

2.0

This book was definitely confusing to understand. I know this series is like a sequel to another series, but it is its own standalone series. This book is like part sci-fi and part fantasy. With the Sci-fi about the main world and the fantasy world being Inigo's dreams. There was hardly any introduction of how things work or how things are, which adds to the confusion. But Hamilton definitely knows his sci-fi stuff; the setting he paints in my mind was amazing science marvels, and could be entirely possible in the future!

Though I must say, I like Inigo's dream more than the sci-fi part (mostly because im not really a scifi reader). I am interested in seeing what happens when Edeard's world and Inigo's world collide. The two world separated by a void and the whole goal of the current world is to cross that void. There's alot of politics and action involved, as well as a whole slew of characters that I'm still trying to figure how they relate to the story. It seems this book series continues past the first book as there's no real conclusion. They did achieve some of their goals, but not all, will have to see on the next few books.
