As I sit here trying to collect my thoughts and sort my conflicted feelings, there is only one thing I can affirm without any hesitation: Korean women write gruesome stories beautifully.
"Cursed Bunny" is an extraordinary collection of twisted tales -some in familiar contemporary settings, others in whimsical fantasy scenarios, that beautifully remind us of how gruesome humanity is, and the certainty of relief under the most distressing moments, whether that relief is something conventionally right.
I cannot emphasize that the best approach for this book is to go with an open mind and without any previous knowledge of the plot of the short stories. However, these aren't stories made for the faint of heart as they portray and nurture from violence in every possible way.
