Characters: Ruthie and Kazex

Kazex has been in love with Ruthie (a clone) ever since she was rescued and living on the ship he’s been on. They dock at Risda lll and it becomes a new challenge for Ruthie.

Ruthie has been dealing with high anxiety ever since she has been found and saved from slavers. She has this deep fear that she will be taken away again, once she finds out she’s one of at least three clones, her own identity is being destroyed. She doesn’t who she really is, and not knowing if her thoughts are her own. So she pushes Kazex away, but he remains her protector and friend. Things change once they dock on Risda lll, she sees Kazex being flirted with and she feels like she waited too late, and she will lose him. So she goes about seducing him.

This is a slow burn, her and Kazex do a lot of kissing and foreplay, until the 90% point in the book where they finally go all the way.
Ruthie did annoy me with her high anxiety, I have anxiety myself but not like that. Thankfully I was glad that Ruthie finally went off the ship and did exposure therapy, so she felt less anxious about being by herself
