This was not nearly as action packed as the first book. The FMC is just so annoying too. The book really drags and I don’t feel emotionally connected to the characters. I’m frustrated because I enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to character development and maturation, but was sorely disappointed. Other reviews that have finished the entire book also state that the characters don’t improve.
