If it hadn't been for the repeated and graphic depictions of SA, I would have given this a higher rating. That is the only thing that made me want to put down this volume.

Other than that - what a story! What a terrifying, bone-chilling tragedy! And of course there's the meticulously drawn art itself - break and grim and horrifying, but absolutely stunning. The final chapters had me on the edge of my seat, pulse actually racing. In the previous volume, our main characters caught a glimpse of the sun, and now they are plunged into the darkest depths of Hell. To quote the author himself in this volume: "There was but one word to describe it: Despair". I am going to take a little break before I start on the next volume, because this one left me scared to see what's to come.
