Aru Shah is back after a major bomb dropping ending in Book #3! Kara joins the team but with great hesitation on the part of the other Pandavans. Who is she anyways? Why does she glow and have a trident? How do they get to the city of Gold? And where is Aru's mother anyways?
This book is the next installment for Aru in saving the world from The Sleeper (aka Dad). And she's go to juggle all her responsibilities, but also having a new half-sister AND increase awareness of Aiden (ak Wifey).
I do find Aru's CONTINUOUS quoting of movies to start to get annoying...but hey. I know people in real life who do that! LOL.
Book 4 Aru grows immensely in learning who she is--and also learns to let go a lot of things that weigh her down. But she still stays that awkward teenager she always is who loves her Spider-Man pajamas
