This book got me from the start, with a great intro into a complex world, it really thrusts you right into the thick of things and keeps you wondering and guessing what will happen next. I love the depth of the characters, though the central conflict is obvious, the characters are well fleshed out with unique struggles of their own. I especially liked the developing friendship of the two main characters, Wes and Celesyria.

This book is an allegorical Christian novel, and has many of the common trappings. However, Lozinski offers some unique twists that will keep the readers on their toes!
