The Delphi Effect by Rysa Walker

5.0

Hot damn was this ever good! It was nothing what I expected and yet somehow everything I wanted to read in a book.

The concept, while revolving around gifted kids and the government suppressing/trying to control them, felt fresh and fun. The psychic, mental abilities highlighted here are, likewise, fresh and fun. Particularly Anna's. Lost souls hitch a ride in her head, asking that she help them do that one thing that is preventing them from leaving. And when they do, she retains their memories and their skills. It's such a cool idea!

Overall, the suspense and intrigue runs high, the cast of characters are great, and the world-building solid. Can't wait to dive into book 2!
