Spy School at Sea by Stuart Gibbs

5.0

There has NEVER been a bad Spy School book. It has been so much fun to reread the series and get to the books that I’ve never read before! At Sea was a perfect edition of everything I love about the series. The action was great as always, and the setting really switched things up for the plot!
Ben’s near death experience was so well written and made such a difference for this book. As this book is middle-grade, it makes sense that the characters always make it out alive, but this close call made the book so emotional and added to the drama. Erica’s and Catherine’s reactions were so important, and seeing Mike drop everything to save Ben was the best. And the Erica and Ben moment at the end of the book was incredible. I love these characters so much.
I love these books so much and I am just so grateful that this story has been written. It is so so good.
