I really loved this!!
Like so close to 5 star but something is just holding it back - edit legit have not stopped thinking about this story it's a 5 stars lol

It is mystical fairytale reimagining rooted in Irish folklore. The writing is so lyrical and lush making it so easy to get swept up into the story.

It was everything I love in fantasy - a portal world filled with magic which was both mischievous and dark. A brooding male love interest that was slow burn filled with tension and witty banter. I also love Celtic mythology and reading about Fae that is close to the origins - dark but also charming.

Fia was such a likeable and relatable character. She is learning & discovering who she is as a woman and also trying unravel the stories that everyone is telling her trying to find the truth. Rogan frustrated me at times but I understand he is a product of his upbringing and place in society. But like man take a hint at times haha.
Irian was such a mysterious character and how morally grey he is. I cannot wait to get more of his background and see where his story goes.

It was also alot spicy than I thought it would be. Which Hey Im not complaining, it was well written spice.

The ending I did not expect at all and I loved it. It was intense and honestly quite brutal.
