Release Me is exactly the spin-off I didn’t know I needed but now can’t imagine being without. If you’ve read The Wolf Hotel series, then you already know who Ronan is—and if you’re like me, you’ve probably been hoping we’d get more of him one day. K.A. Tucker delivered.
This book is split into two parts, and the structure is so satisfying. The first half revisits Ronan’s past—what he was going through emotionally right before we met him in Tempt Me. If you read the original Ronan novella, this version is even better: polished, expanded, and layered in ways that make you understand him more. The second half jumps forward to life after the original series ends, and I don’t want to say much about it...but wow, I was hooked.
Ronan is the perfect combo of messy, charming, and unexpectedly sweet. He’s got his flaws, no doubt, but that just made me love him more. The friendships (especially his bond with Connor) are one of the best parts of the book—equal parts funny, heartfelt, and a little chaotic. Also, for longtime fans, there are some familiar faces that made me ridiculously happy.
The pacing? Spot on. The banter? So good. The ending? Cliffhanger. (And I am not okayin the best way.)
While you technically could start with this one, I highly recommend reading The Wolf Hotel series first. These stories are so interconnected, and experiencing them in order just hits different.
K.A. Tucker, thank you for more Ronan. I’ll take every page you give us.
