Blue Dahlia

This was an interesting beginning to the series. And pretty foreshadowing as to who's going to fall in love with whom. I guess I'm a bit tired of reading romances, though, because I couldn't seriously enjoy this one. I'm actually glad I'll be getting back to the really depressing Oliver Twist. At least, it was depressing where I left off.
I like Stella and I like Logan. They're interesting people. And I loved meeting these new characters and getting to know them. Roz is fantastic— when I turned 47 I want to be like that to some degree or another.
The beginning actually made me think about crying a bit. I don't cry over books as a general rule, but I do get a little sentimental about them in sympathy.
And I liked the gardening aspect. First I got a small-town, bar-type aspect with the Gallaghers of Ardmore Trilogy, then a witch, small-town aspect with the Three Sisters Trilogy, and then this gardening, large-town, mother aspect with the Garden Trilogy. I like it. I like the fact that Stella is a mother and she has two crazy cute little boys.
But like I said, maybe I'm a bit tired of reading romances, because I couldn't seriously enjoy this one. I've no doubt it's a fantastic book, but I couldn't enjoy it properly.
