I’ve re read this book a a couple of times, It’s not the best book sure it has its flaws but I hold this book dear to me as it is the first book that got me into reading. Following this silly dog though its life was nice and a little sad with how people view animals and how they can easily see them as profit and an item other than a life. the end is upsetting but then again it just shows the themes of how an animal can be replaced. Not sure if the author wanted to see the ending that way but it felt very bitter sweet to me. I enjoyed this book as a kid and I still enjoy it now 😚
