I really enjoyed this book and I definitely recommend reading. My one criticism is that the book jumps around a lot and it’s hard to understand what happened when. The chapter titles seem easy to understand — “The Before”, “The After”,  “One year before the before”— but I still struggled to figure out where it really happened in time. Now that I have finished, I’m sure I’d understand better on a reread!

I truly was not expecting the huge twist at the end. This book deals with such a hard subject and is actually based off a real case. Tiffany D. Jackson handled this difficult subject in such a graceful way. The whole book Claudia is convinced something happened to Monday, but no one will listen. Claudia even goes to the police, but they won’t do anything since she’s not Monday’s parent. The school won’t listen, her parents are convinced everything’s fine, but Claudia feels something is wrong.

I wont say more than that so as not to spoil. All I will say is please read this book!

*Also yes I was given an ARC back in fall 2017 and then never read it because of college 😂 Thanks, Ang for setting up the buddy read!*
