Huge thank you to Forever and NetGalley for this ARC because I could NOT put this book down - it was perfect and exactly what I needed to get out of a reading slump. I loved the setting, and the outfit descriptions were just dreamy. This really is a mix between Pretty Woman and Bridgerton, but Lysander also reminded me a lot of Mr. Darcy (which is a compliment).
The tension between Lysander and Nève? Absolutely perfect. The redemption arc? Love to see it. I’m a sucker for a good fake dating story, but the fact that this was a regency fake dating story made it even better.
Was this the best book ever written? No, but it’s fun and funny and mildly spicy so that makes it a great book in my eyes.
