The Days of Abandonment by Elena Ferrante

emotional tense

4.0

i know (and hate) enough cheating men in their 40s to care for the premise of this book but because i trust ms. ferrante i picked this up anyway. obviously it was way more than that at its core, a story of spiraling, “absence of sense”, etc. hard to read because it was horrific especially when i saw myself, but at the same time i couldnt put it down. leave it to her to get me to read about things i have an aversion to. also can someone tell my mom to read thisssss :p
