hatool 's review for:
To Kill a Mockingbird
by Harper Lee
Sadly, I can't call this book boring, despite my wanting to. The story was fairly intriguing when it finally got into it, and the point of view of Scout Finch was very interesting.
Despite that, the story itself, not matter how interesting, was clearly old-fashioned, and I had a hard time not getting pissed over every little misogynistic or racist remark the characters made.
Yeah, "those were the times", but those times sucked. This book might have been very forward thinking for it's time, and I appreciated the little "Hitler Sucks" bit, but other than that most of the content of this book aged like spoilt milk.
