I initially ended up buying this book, mostly due to the fact that David Mitchell was doing a book signing at my local Waterstones. I kind of felt obliged to go, as I had previously bought tickets to what I thought was this David Mitchell doing an author event at Blackwell's only to find out it was the other, less funny David Mitchell. And when one goes to a book signing, you sort of have to have a book to sign. Anyway, the book if you didn't know already, is a collection of newspaper columns, but grouped together in similar sort of subjects. Some were hilarious, some made me chuckle silently to myself or nod in agreement and some were a bit dull. But overall, worth the effort, especially if you don't read his column as then it's all new material for you
