The Minotaur Takes A Cigarette Break
by Steven Sherrill
This book was a random pick because I saw the cover of it in WS and went hmm that could be interesting? Spoiler alert - it was indeedy.
This follows M, and how his life is shaped 1000s of years after leaving the Labyrinth. He works as a line chef and truly just seems to want some companionship. He is very voyeristic which I think is to be expected, and it is sad and at times tense watching him navigate modern America and life in the here and now.
It was a sad and tender, and did make me smile at times.
