Black Morocco: A History of Slavery, Race, and Islam by Chouki El Hamel

Did not finish book.

It is such an important book, but is is so dense and academic and especially hard to take it in through the app I use which converts text to audio. I've reached out to the writer and asked if there is a more accessible version in the works, especially language wise. And the author told me that there is such version available but that he would also love it if there would be one, so now I am trying to make that happen. Tbc.
