I´m not sure I can do this book any justice. It's a train wreck. It's a guilty pleasure. It's the alien smut version of a crazy telenovela, the kind you wouldn´t be caught dead watching... but can´t help yourself. Not your fault, obviously, that shit is addictive! It's so full of tropes and clichés and grammar tragedies (they're/there/their, you're/your) that is, in fact, fascinating. I mean, at some point it's a statistical certainty you´ll get some than/then right. Even a stopped watch is correct twice a day, after all, and this is not freakin' quantum science.
Let's say the author broke the rules of statistics, and probably some Guinness record.
I don't know what hurt more: the spasmodic use of commas, or the stupidity of the situations the characters put themselves in. Abducted by aliens? Oh, sure, so tell me, oh hunky blue man, at what time is dinner served in this pretty spaceship of yours? I'm kinda peckish.
At some point I wanted to gouge my eyes out. True, the same eyes that rolled out so badly and so often that I could see the progression of my neurons wither and die. Yet, I couldn't stop reading, I wanted more, I just couldn't believe the audacity of having this published!
I'm still amazed.
