Snappsy the Alligator and His Best Friend Forever by Tim Miller, Julie Falatko

4.0

In the vein of Willems’ Elephant and Piggy series, Snappsy the Alligator takes a similar stance, integrating comic-like motifs alongside a narrative. Here we have an alligator and a chicken who are more different than they are alike–though perhaps that’s what makes them great friends. This book is great for teaching children not only about learning how to read dialogue and inferring meaning from text size and font, but also great for teaching kids to create dialogue about boundaries and compromise.
