Harrow Lake is a YA thriller/mystery novel by Kat Ellis that follows Lola, the daughter of a famous filmmaker, who made a cult classic film called Nightjar. The town that her father used to film his masterpiece within is called Harrow Lake. KEY POINTS:
* had no idea what was going to happen next, the suspense was really good!
* had me wanting to read on and on to find out how it ends
* enjoyed the development in the main character and how the other characters within the story shifted around this
* loved the town of Harrow Lake - it felt so real and effective, like it was truly a part of the story, not just a backdrop
* felt as though I was expecting just a tiny bit more from the story. The ending didn't punch me the way I thought it would, and so I felt a little flat coming away from it. If it weren't for that, it would have been a strong 4 stars!
